Alvaro Morata and Matthijs De Ligt have been advised by Miralem Pjanic not to leave Juventus for Barcelona in the future. The pair have recently been linked with a move to the Catalan giants, with Morata allegedly close to completing a deal during the current transfer window.

Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is currently on loan at Juventus, and Barcelona are apparently interested in signing him on a loan with a purchase option.

Before returning to Spain, Pjanic, who joined Barcelona from Juventus in the summer of 2020, counselled Morata to carefully consider his options. He stated,

‘’So far, Morata has had an incredible career. He played for Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus, among others. Players require motivation from time to time, but I would hesitate to leave a club where I am comfortable."

Pjanic continued: "Morata understands what he's doing, and Barcelona hired Xavi, a coach with extensive knowledge of the club. I'm not sure about the specifics, but I've always heard that Morata was content at Juventus, even if you have to consider it whenever Barcelona calls."

The former manager Ronald Koeman's treatment of the Bosnian midfielder at the Nou Camp was well-documented throughout the 2020-21 season. When Pjanic arrived in Barcelona, he was regarded as one of the top midfielders in the world.

Under Koeman, though, he was a bit-part player who never had a chance to stake a claim for a starting XI spot. The midfielder is currently on loan at Besiktas in Turkey and is expected to leave the Catalan club at the conclusion of the season. "He made a fantastic decision by joining Juventus," Pjanic said of De Ligt's decision not to join Barcelona in 2019.

Another Juventus player who has been linked with a move to Barcelona is Matthijs De Ligt. Prior to his move to Italy in 2019, the Dutch defender was said to be close to joining the Spanish club from Ajax. Barcelona is said to be rekindling their pursuit of the 22-year-old.

Pjanic believes the Dutchman made the correct decision by joining Juventus, but he isn't ruling out the possibility of him joining Barcelona in the future. He stated, "

‘’De Ligt has three years left on his Juventus deal, and he has the necessary dedication, but I'm not sure if Barcelona is interested. By joining Juventus and working with Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, he made a fantastic decision."

Pjanic continued, " "He is content at Juventus, and it is preferable not to go when you are content. We'll see if he's motivated enough to depart."

Due to Barcelona's financial position, signing De Ligt will be much more difficult.
